“I believe that the only way to have the best life that you can have is to accept what situation you are in and just do everything  you can to make your life what you want it to be and just take that responsibility on for yourself.  As long as you do that you’ll get what you want given enough time.”  ~ Rob Jones

Life can throw us obstacles and ultimately it’s our responses to those obstacles that determines how life will go from that point onward.  The degree of difficulty of the obstacles that we encounter is usually determined by what we have had to endure thus far, so for some an obstacle may be considered a sprained ankle, for another it could be a broken arm, for others it’s cancer, and so on and so forth.  Regardless of how “bad” an obstacle is, we have a choice to either deal with it to the best of our abilities or we can let it take over everything and leave us feeling like a victim.

I love this video because it’s a great example of an amazing person who decided that her obstacle would not define her life.  She deals with it everyday, and I’m sure some days are harder than others, but all in all she is dealing with it and carrying on.  Through her actions she has taken back her life and now she’s defining it by what she can do rather than what she can’t do.  Oh, and she’s doing the Open.  To quote the video, she’s a “Badass Bitch!”
