Founder, Head Coach
Nicole is a Certified CrossFit Coach (CF-L4), one of a handful worldwide to hold this distinction. She is a wife, Mom of two, and a former flowmaster for the CrossFit Headquarters Level 1 and Level 2 courses. She oversees all aspects of shop operations and teaches group classes. Learn more.
Eric a Certified CrossFit Trainer (CF-L3) and opened CrossFit Roots with Nicole in 2008. He has a background in the outdoors, is a husband, and father of two. He is a full-time coach, does private training, and heads up all facility maintenance and development.
Head Coach, Olympic Weightlifting Club
Ryan is a Certified CrossFit Trainer (CF-L3) and C.S.C.S. with a USAW Advanced Coach credential. He has a competitive background in Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and Highland Games. He is a full-time coach and the program director for our USAW Roots Weightlifting Club. Learn more.

Ali is a Certified CrossFit Trainer (CF-L3) with a M.S. in Clinical Exercise Physiology. A true outdoors woman, she chases her passion for the outdoors through biking, skiing, and backpacking. She is a full-time coach and Women’s Only program director. Learn more.
Coach, Ascent Program, Competitors
Dave Lee is a CrossFit Trainer (CF-L2). Dave has an extensive background in climbing – both rock and ice – and has built a solid resume of climbing routes spanning Colorado to California to Alaska. He is program lead for the Ascent and Competitor programs. Learn more.
Cody is a CrossFit Trainer (CF-L1) and former Army Medic. Cody finds enjoyment in helping athletes of all ability levels improve their fitness and be successful in group classes. Learn more.

Trevor is a Certified CrossFit Trainer (CF-L3) with a M.A. in Education from Stanford. He works on the CrossFit Headquarters Kids Seminar Staff and was a high school teacher and an officer in the Marines Corps. He is a full-time coach and the CrossFit Kids/High School program director. Learn more.

Kirk is a CrossFit Trainer (CF-L2) with a B.A. in Integrative Physiology. He raced on the Junior Elite circuit for USA Triathlon and the International Triathlon Union. He was an early adopter of CrossFit Endurance. He is a program lead for Endurance. Learn more.
EC is a Certified CrossFit Coach (CF-L4) who specializes in strongman training and nutrition. She was a Flowmaster for Level 1 and Level 2 Certificate Courses working more than 200 seminars worldwide over 10 years. Learn more.
Lisa is a CrossFit Trainer (CF-L2). She has an extensive background in athletics – from competitive gymnastics to swimming – and has coached the sports since she was in high school. She is a coach for the Women’s Only Program and also teaches group classes. Learn more.
Greg is a CrossFit Trainer (CF-L2) with a B.S. in Journalism. He was trained by the renowned distance running coach, Mark Wetmore, and ran cross country and track for the University of Colorado Buffaloes. Learn more.
James attends the front desk and shop floor at Roots and is a student at the Unversity of Colorado. He went as far as to write his college application essay on snatching 135 for the first time and the lessons he learned in the process. Learn more.
Lauren is a CrossFit Trainer (CF-L2) and full-time teacher with a M.A. in Literacy & ESL/Bilingual K-12 Education from the University of Colorado. Lauren had an elite rowing career and rowed for Boston University. She is a full-time teacher and is the program director for Rowing. Learn more.
