You found us. Sweet!
There are three ways to play at CrossFit Roots: group training classes, private training sessions, and group training with endurance coaching. Read below to determine which program best fits your needs and goals.
Have questions about which program is right for you? Call or email us to set up a free one-on-one hour with one of the coaches at CrossFit Roots. This hour includes discussion and a workout.
Group Classes
Group classes provide the arena for how we train and feature the CrossFit Workout of the Day. Remember what it felt like to be part of a team? There’s a tangible feeling of camaraderie, accountability, and shared effort that invigorates and inspires us to push beyond what we can accomplish on our own. Come play for our team.
Foundations Course - Get Me on the Team
If group training is what you are looking for then your first stop is our Foundations Course. We start everyone with our Foundations Course.
The Foundations Course is a series of 12 classes that teach and familiarize you with the movements used in the group class, introduce you to workouts of increasing intensity and difficulty, start you on the path toward nutrition that will support fitness and health, and get you to the point where you are ready to join the group classes. The Foundations Course consists of 12 training sessions over one month and is limited to 8 people per course. We offer the Foundations Course on a monthly basis. Email us for details.
We know what some who read this will think and that is, “What?! I don’t need a Foundations Course, I’m fit, I’m strong, just let me lift heavy stuff and try Fran!” Whoa there young CrossFitter. Proper technique increases an athlete’s ultimate potential, prevents injury, and develops an appreciation for and understanding of the specificity of movements involved. Start CrossFit but start it right.
Once you have completed the Foundations Course, you are ready to join our group classes.
Private Training Sessions
Our private training sessions incorporate the same exercises and methods found in the group classes but we tailor each session to the individual. Private training is a great option for both the individual who would like more one on one attention before joining a group class and the seasoned CrossFitter who would like to develop a certain skill or work toward a defined goal.
Endurance Training
You want to run the Bolder Boulder or you are thinking about racing your first triathlon. Or you have done the long distance events but training consumed your life, your bike seat spent more time between your legs than your significant other (oops, did we say that?), and you wallowed in injury, fatigue, and race disappointment.
Our endurance program is built on top of our group training. First, we get you dialed in to the CrossFit workouts. Then we add sport-specific, high intensity, interval and time-trial based workouts to your training plan. Just a couple each week, no need to overdo it. We know, this sounds scary and different!! We have successfully trained athletes to compete in endurance events with as little as a 7 hour commitment each week.
