Teen Strength and Conditioning is a fitness program for all teens. By scaling speed, volume, load, and intensity, we can make each session appropriate for an elite high-school athlete and a teen simply looking to stay active and fit. This program allows high school athletes to train using techniques common to all college programs but rarely utilized by high-scools and adolescent, sport specific conditioning. THE ATHLETIC OBJECTIVES: Improve athlete fitness, readiness for sport, and develop an appreciation for lifelong health and wellness. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Sports are specialized pursuits – our goal is to support the specialist by training as generalists. We create increased sport capacity by making Teens stronger, faster, and more explosive.
THE DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES: Value hard work; be nice to people; have fun. The CrossFit model provides a unique opportunity for kids to work hard, see positive results, and improve their sport readiness. Research about how teens succeed academically and later in life shows that they need the ability to work towards short, intermediate, and long term goals – CrossFit allows teens to do just that.
