This weekend I had the opportunity to attend the CrossFit Kids Certification at CrossFit BrandX in Ramona, California.  In short, it was awesome.  I found myself smiling in line at the airport thinking about the CrossFit Kids program we plan to start mid-September.

We all know the dismal state of health in America.  An overweight population, a youth that is expected to be the first generation in US history with a life expectancy shorter than their parents’, grocery stores that resemble toy stores rather than Farmer’s Markets, little girls who strive for waif-like emaciated bodies, and boys who look to steroids for muscle mass.  CrossFit Kids is a giant piece of the solution to the health epidemic.

CrossFit Kids starts with pre-school aged children.  The goal is to pair fitness with fun.  As children grow up, so does their CrossFit program.  Just as CrossFit is infinitely scalable to the elderly grandma, it is infinitely scalable to the 3 year-old (and so damn cute)!
