Substitute Coach

CrossFit Roots is always looking to add quality coaches to its team! This is a part-time/substitute position for 2-4 hours of coaching per week. Additional opportunities for growth within the position available for the right candidate.

The primary role of the position is to deliver the highest quality group class experience to the members of CrossFit Roots. This includes an unyielding commitment to professionalism, CrossFit, development, and personal fitness and nutrition. An interest in coaching Kids and Teens is a plus. 

Coaches at Roots set the standard for coaching, community, and shop culture. They write daily class lesson plans and are required to attend monthly Coaches Meetings and Development Hours. Coaches receive class and coaching feedback and are expected to work to improve. They attend group classes weekly, do the gym’s programming, scale as needed and work on their weaknesses, and post their scores. As a team, the staff works together to do big things, support each other, and create the best possible experience for members.

Qualifications: CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course or higher. Previous experience coaching CrossFit recommended.

Kids and Teens Coach

CrossFit Roots is looking to add a Kids and Teens coach to its team! This is a part-time position for 4-6 hours of coaching per week. Additional opportunities for growth within the position available.

The primary role of the position is to ensure a safe, fun environment for Kids and Teens classes while simultaneously providing the athletes with excellent coaching. An unyielding commitment to professionalism, CrossFit, personal and professional development, and personal fitness and nutrition is requisite. A thorough understanding and application of CrossFit Kids methodology and training practices is paramount.

Qualifications: CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course and CrossFit Kids Trainer Course required in order to apply. CrossFit Level 2 recommended. Experience in youth coaching, programs, or teaching viewed positively in the application process. Background check required.
