Girls Gone RX Wrap-up
Saturday took on many forms of fun and excitement as three teams of Roots women competed in the Girls Gone RX Competition and fundraiser for Barbells4Boobs. Big ups to Lucie, Tracie, and Nicole who took home third place overall. Big-ups to all three teams who raised $5,681 for Barbells for Boobs. Stay tuned for details about the Barbells for Boobs Oct. 29th Open House Event at Roots. We’re headed toward our goal of $10,000!
Incredible performances and showings included:
– Lucie eeking out every bit of grip strength left on the last 40 meters of the team stone/partner carry and turning in a 2:08 Grace
– Laura doing her first RXed Fran, including 45 pull-ups in a workout for the first time ever, all while shrugging off some major hand issues
– Tiffany working straight through Grace with hardly a break and barely any press outs
– Paula on the ball every time – set, low, and ready – through the tire flips and not backing down on the runs
– Tracie hauling through 2 400s and proving to herself that she wouldn’t hit failure on a 200lb tire flip
– Hillary sprinting down the finishes in workout 2 and muscling through the tire flips
– Shayna with an incredible sprint to the finish on the stone carry and a sweet Grace
– Meredith showing up for Fran and killing it despite her lack of recent metcons
– Nicole turning in a 3:13 Fran
Yeah Ladies! Psyched for all of you!
nice job ladies!! pics are awesome!
Far be it from me to critique anything the coaches come up with, but I think there are some naming/syntax issues with the upcoming “fuel challenge.” (I.e. what does it blow?)
