Congratulations to Scott, Ryan, and Bob!

Last weekend was the 2016 Colorado State Championship for weightlifting. Three Roots lifters competed on Saturday and made a great showing!

Scott Graham won 1st place in the Masters 94kg weight class with a 79 kg snatch and a 94 kg clean and jerk. Scott made competition personal bests in both lifts! This was Scott’s first competition in awhile and he looked awesome!

Coach Ryan Landis won 1st place in the Masters 105kg division with a 111kg snatch and a 132kg clean and jerk. Ryan also qualified for Masters World Championships with these lifts. This is the second year in a row that Ryan has qualified for Worlds and won his division at state!

Bob Dias, a newcomer to the Roots weightlifting team, placed 1st in the Masters 105+ division with lifts of 64/92kg. Bob looked great and also repeated as Masters 105+ state champion!
The next Oly Meet at Roots is on April 16th! Mark your calendar to compete or spectate. Signup is open here. There is no fee for spectators.
