they put corn in oysters now!?
that list is like dinner at my grandma’s house, but now she understands that I eat this “weird way” so I at least don’t get the guilt trip for not eating everything.
I think it means they’re corn fed oysters?
We asked the same thing last night. They are corn fritters on crack. ‘Cause apparently apple fritters weren’t sufficient to meet the fried “vegetable” quota.
Sometimes when I’m at Whole Foods and I’m waiting in the ridiculously long lunchtime check-out line I look at people’s lunch plates and judge them. One of my all-time favorite plates was a guy with berries, chinese-inspired tofu mixture, green beans, mac n’ cheese, and bean salad on his plate. He was holding an Odwalla juice to go with it. His friend came up in line, and said, “Look at you, stocking up on all those veggies.” I looked as his plate and was totally baffled.
