The Magic Cue

Awhile back at a coaching seminar I was coached by 12 or so trainers on my push-jerk.  They had collectively decided that I was a bit floaty on my jerk.  Numerous attempts by 4 or 5 coaches to help me fix the problem didn’t seem to help.  They had each tried different methods but nothing seemed to click in my head.  Then another coach said two things to me and a light bulb went off in my head.  I then performed 3 or 4 more reps and everyone agreed that had fixed the issue.

Different coaches have different cues and Roots is no different. You may have had Nicole teach you kipping pull-ups in your Foundations Course but despite your best efforts you just can’t link them together.  You go to Roots M, W, and Saturday and never see that guy Zac.

Then one day you pop into Zac’s class and from across the room he says one thing to you and the lightbulb goes off. Automatic linked kipping pull-ups in the workout.

So remember, you can always gain from another set of coaching eyes and cues.

Folks, I am starting off my 2011 endurance campaign with some CF Endurance run work outs. If anyone wants to keep me company then drop me a PM to [email protected]

I am looking to do some longer trail running later on this year but nothing extreme NO Leadville 100 or anything crazy like that. This is not an official Roots group, just me looking to run / share the pain with others.
