531 Meeting Tonight – 7PM

Tonight’s the night.  Come join Nicole and Shane to learn more about the Wendler 531 strength program that kicks off next week with the new schedule.  And here are the answers to some of the questions we have received.

What will you cover in the meeting?
– What is 5/3/1
– How can it help you do what you want to do, only better
– How will the program at Roots go down?
– Will it be fun?
– What you need in order to get started
– Answers to commonly asked questions, such as, “Will I bulk up?”

What if I can’t attend the meeting but want to know what it’s all about?
You can find out more about the program by doing a simple search on the internet.  You can also visit here to read about a general overview of the program. Obviously, we will have tweaks and pieces specific to the program at Roots that we will cover at the meeting.  The link will give you a good idea.

What if I can’t attend the meeting but I know I want to do the program?
Great.  Just show up for the first class on Tuesday, March 21st.

You said we must commit to the two classes each week for the five week period.  I’m cool with that, but I have a business meeting and will need to miss one Tuesday.
That is fine.  The structure of this program requires you to be present for the two classes every week over the five weeks.  Missing one class is fine.  Being able to attend Tuesdays only is not.

Who can take this class?
This class is included in an unlimited membership.

What happens at the end of the 5 weeks?
We will test the success of the program in two ways and evaluate whether or not to continue it by starting another 5-week cycle.

The dudes on that website seriously scare me. “Testosterone Nation”? Yikers! I can’t make it tonight, but I am going to try to switch up my schedule so I can do the class.

Julia – true “Testosterone Nation” may not be the best endorsement site for the females but 531 ROCKS. I’ll report in here from “Estrogen Nation”…for the amount of heavy lifting that I do, if heavy lifting made one bulk up and look manly, I’d look like a 300 lb sumo wrestler. It doesn’t!

And then, check this guy out (it’s the subject for tomorrow’s post though so this is a preview:)

Bulking up wasn’t my concern! Nevertheless, that article is really interesting. I was intrigued/inspired by several of the points it makes. Looking forward to your post tomorrow!
