School’s out, the heat is on, and that can mean only one thing – the return of the Cool, Cruel Summer Series at Roots!

What is the Cool Cruel Summer Series?

The Cool Cruel Summer Series runs throughout the summer on the third Thursday of each month (June-August). This year, we’re tackling four Hero workouts (see below for the first workout of the season!).

Afterward, folks stay to hang out, socialize, and enjoy summer. It’s a fun twist on a normal evening at Roots!

There is no formal class start time and the evening runs from 4-7pm. The coaches will organize waves of athletes to start together as well as guide warm-up and scaling options, as always.

Athletes can come in and do the workout anytime between 4:00 and 7:00pm (with the last wave starting at 6:20pm).

This is a fun, laid-back environment that puts the summer fun into an evening at Roots.

10 Handstand Push-Ups
15 Deadlifts (250/175 lb)
25 Box Jumps (30/24 in)
50 Pull-Ups
100 Wall Ball Shots (20/14 lb)
200 Double-Unders
400 meter Run (with 45/35 lb plate)
