COVID-19 Update and How You Can Support the Gym


As you know, last week Boulder County moved to Level Red. This change further and significantly decreased CrossFit Roots’ daily capacity. 

We are working hard to find good solutions that will carry us through a decreased capacity and freezing temperatures this winter, all while staying within the COVID-19 guidelines for the next few months. Please bear with us this week as we make some changes to class sizes and layout.  

Workouts Inside and Outside

We will continue to utilize the outside and indoor spaces to their maximum allowable capacities. Please continue to dress warm, wear your mask, and be ready to shift depending on current weather. The bottom line is that if you come to class, we will make sure you get a great workout (it may not be the exact workout written on the board, but you will definitely get a good workout!).

The next few months will be challenging, but we’re up for the challenge. We are so thankful for your continued support and dedication to your health and fitness. Below you’ll find a few ways that you can support Roots and our community. 

How to Support the Shop

We greatly appreciate your support through all of this mess! Here are a few ways you can continue to support the gym: 

  1. Support a member. Text them. Make plans to come to class together. Help keep everyone motivated. Make an effort to talk to folks in class EVEN THOUGH it’s sometimes challenging to chat in a mask!
  2. Buy apparel from our store. Sweatshirts, tees, and tanks are BUY ONE GET ONE FREE right now! You can also find our new Peace Flag apparel stocked in the store. Your purchases at the store will help us cover expenses in the coming months. 
  3. Keep coming to class and eating well. Maintaining and improving your health during this time is paramount. Keep your CrossFit attendance at 4 classes per week minimum. Consistency is key. 
  4. Consider buying a Year Paid Up Front Membership. The cost is a one-time payment of $2,102 (20% off of current dues, equating to $175/month).

Thanksgiving Day Workout

Dress warmly for the annual Earn Your Turkey WOD as there’s a chance of snow. Eric and Nicole are crafting some serious fun. It will be just as fun as always, so don’t let the snow keep you away!
