Fuel Your Journey Challenge Results

The Fuel Your Journey Challenge Wrap-up took place this past Friday evening at the new space.  23 of the 30 participants made it to the challenge wrap-up and a few participated in the make-up session a few days prior.  Across the board, we have to say that this was the Roots Crew’s most successful challenge yet.  From body measurements to weight on the scale to pictures, blood work, and athletic performance the changes these folks made in 6 weeks was down right impressive.

We could tell their stories but were hoping they might want to share some of their successes.
So, FYJC Crew – what were you results like?  Post to comments.

  1. The FYJC had a huge impact on me. I lost 13 pounds and about 7 inches; but more importantly, I changed the way I eat and think about food. Thank you Roots and my FYJC Coach Tracie!

  2. I’m super glad I did the FYJC. I was a little hesitant about it, because I’m vegetarian, but Nicole was very supportive and helped me come up with a plan that worked for me (basically: limited soy & legumes, no potatoes, dairy was okay, but no grains and no sugar). I lost 9 pounds, 3″ from my waist and most importantly feel great and (after the first week, which was a learning experience) haven’t been hungry at all.

I thought I ate pretty well before the challenge — mostly whole grains, limited refined sugars, lots of veggies — but cutting out the grains and sugar has made an enormous difference both in weight loss and my overall energy levels through the day. I don’t see any reason to go back to eating them.

Huge thanks to Roots & Nicole!

    1. Moishe, I hear you dropped in to United Barbell in SF last week. My friend Kelly was so excited to see someone from Boulder pop in! Now I’ve just got to get her out here for a visit to Roots!

Super happy I did the challenge.

I lost 25 lbs and 4 inches on my waist.  I stuck out the intermittent fasting the entire time.  Paleo + Crossfit was one of the best life decisions I’ve ever made.
