The 2019 CrossFit Games are just around the corner. On August 1-4 the fittest athletes in the world will gather in Madison, Wisconsin to compete for the world title. If you’re a fan of fitness, we highly recommend that you tune in throughout the weekend to watch the action. It’s downright inspiring.

While the Games are filled with competition, the weekend is equally filled with community and celebration around CrossFit and fitness.

As part of the weekend festival, spectators can get in a workout onsite at the CrossFit Games.

This year, Assault Fitness, SugarWOD, and Zen Planner have partnered to bring the spectator workout to life. By combining top-notch equipment with the best social workout-tracking app (yes, we’re totally biased) and a member management platform, the trio had all the working pieces to create a working affiliate experience at the Games – complete with scheduled classes, topnotch coaching, fistbumps, and more.

With the goal of putting affiliate best practices on display and delivering well-coached classes to CrossFitters around the world – and on a tight 16 class/day timeline – SugarWOD turned to Roots.

We are proud to announce that CrossFit Roots will head up the coaching staff at the Assault Fitness Workout Experience!

Are you going to the CrossFit Games? Let us know and come say hi to Nicole, Dave, and Connor (and workout!) at the spectator workout area!

If you’re not going to the CrossFit Games, you may be thinking, “well who is going to coach us here in Boulder!?” Never fear, this is an all hands on deck effort for our team in Madison and in Boulder. Stay tuned – we have a very special guest coach coming to coach Friday of next week alongside Ali, Ryan, Eric, Lisa, EC, and Trevor!
