Ladies of Roots!
Are you either currently pregnant, thinking about having a baby, or recently had a baby and wondering how to continue your CrossFit journey through kids? If you answered “yes,” we invite you to join Nicole and Ali on Tuesday, November 17th at 10:30am for a talk on CrossFit and pregnancy.
Since its inception, Roots has trained 23 pregnant women. Some of those women have even worked out at Roots through two pregnancies! In 2015, CrossFit Roots welcomed eight babies into the world whose mothers did CrossFit before, during, and now after their pregnancies. All of those babies happened to be girls but that’s another story…
Training and coaching individuals who are growing another human being obviously comes with an added level of scaling, care, and communication. Over the years, we have been lucky to work with a motivated and communicative group of women who were dedicated to the health of their baby and their fitness. The product of these coaching interactions paired with Nicole’s personal experience having two children was a thorough database of how to scale, substitute, and modify workouts to get the best outcome for Mom and baby during and after pregnancy.
The talk will consist of an overview of Nicole’s approach to CrossFitting and nutrition while pregnant, a walk through CrossFit Roots’ Pregnancy Guide document, and a question and answer period. We also hope to hear of personal experiences from women at the shop who have CrossFitted while pregnant.
Sorry, no children. Just kidding!

Obviously, this is a plot by Nicole and her confidants for female conquest first of CrossFit and then total world female domination!!! . . . . . which I fully support and endorse based on the beautiful girl babies I have seen in the past few weeks!! You ladies are doing awesome and those little girls are adorable!
