2025 Athlete Kickoff
Join Nicole for the annual Athlete Kickoff on Sunday, January 12th at 10:15
Whether you’ve been doing CrossFit for 2 months, 5 years, or more than a decade, our program’s never-ending pursuit of health and athletic development is a hallmark.
You may want a hard reset. You may want to dive deep into the methodology behind why we do what we do in class. You may also be looking for some motivation and training perspective. No matter what, we promise this will be a helpful hour as you look toward the year ahead!

We constantly keep an eye on what times you want to train, and with an average of 16 classes per day, we’re excited to announce we’re adding more!
Mondays 5:30am – We’re adding a third 5:30am WOD!
NOTE: This overflow class may contain equipment modifications based on available space and equipment but will preserve the intent of the workout.
Mondays 11:30am – We’re adding a second 11:30 at this time!

Welcome to the Coaching Staff, Cary!
You’ve seen him crushing workouts in class, laying it down in the online CrossFit Judges Course, and now coaching alongside Dave and Nicole for the past few months.
We are excited to welcome Cary to the team! You’ll see him subbing classes on the schedule in the coming weeks.

Schedule Your New Year InBody Scan
At CrossFit Roots, data matters! We want your times to get faster, your loads to get heavier, and your body composition to reflect health and fitness over time. To do that – you have to track your progress! For that reason, we recommend that everyone utilize InBody scans.
The InBody scan is a great way to get a detailed breakdown of your weight (muscle, fat, water) so you can measure and track your progress over one year, five years, and decades.
Scans are $35, and we’ll offer them at multiple points throughout this month with early morning, weekend, and evening availability.
Plan to do your scan BEFORE you work out and on an empty stomach, having not eaten in at least 2-4 hours, if possible.

Physical Therapy Room for Rent
CrossFit Roots is looking to expand its physical therapy offerings in-house. Space is available on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday block. If you know an interested licensed professional in the physical therapy or massage profession who is also very pro-CrossFit, please have them contact Nicole for more information ([email protected]).
Coworking Space & Free Trial
Want to streamline your daily commute, put fitness at the forefront of your day, and work alongside other motivated individuals?! Look no further than the CrossFit Roots Co-Working space.
Starting in January, we have a few additional spots available for coworking at Roots! If you’d like to lock in a spot now, email [email protected]. Memberships are $119/month.

What is the Great Attendance Challenge?
The Great Attendance Challenge was born in 2021 and has continued yearly. It’s simple. Each year, we challenge you to attend 225 group classes.
Why? Because consistency matters. A solid daily effort will make one of the most significant lasting impacts on your long-term fitness and health.
So here’s how it works.
Go to class. Sign-up in ZenPlanner. We’ll tally your progress throughout the year. When you hit 225, ring the cowbell, scream it from the top of the rig, and do a victory lap.
What else happens when you do hit that 225 mark?
We’re glad you asked.
For all of you who earn that magical number of 225 – we’ll enter you to win BACK your previous year’s membership fees. That’s right! We’ll draw ONE name from the pool of folks that hit 225.

Battle of the Badges 2025
The 9th annual Colorado Battle of the Badges is back! This one-day fundraiser & partner fitness competition can be any combination of Male/Female, Female/Female, Male/Male, and there is a Scaled, Masters, and RX division. This year’s foundation is The Veterans Community Project of Longmont.
Date: Saturday, February 8th from 8am-4pm
Where: CrossFit MOB in Thornton, CO
The CrossFit Open Starts Here!
The 2025 CrossFit Open is coming FEBRUARY 27TH and registration opens January 15th.
We’re bringing back the best of the best: Intramural teams, weekly prizes, and tons of fun! The Open is for EVERYONE, and EVERYBODY at Roots participates – whether you’ve been doing CrossFit for a long time or just started.

For now, here are the 3 things you need to know and be on the lookout for in the next couple of weeks:
1. Sign up for the Open on January 15th so you can be included in this worldwide event and the Roots Intramural Open. Every year, CrossFit Roots is one of the top affiliates to participate in the nation, and we are proud of each member who signs up for this awesome event.

2. Take the (NEW!) Judges Course when it’s released, email us a copy of your certificate so we can proudly display it at the shop!
