CrossFit Master’s Competition in Denver!

Alright all of you 35+ athletes at Roots – 3-2-1-GO!  Roots has some amazing athletes in this age category and this is a great local competition!  We hope you will consider registering for the event!

What: 2011 FRCF Master’s Championships
When: October 15th and 16 at Front Range CrossFit
Age Categories: Starting at 35.  5 year age brackets up to 60 years of age and then 60+.
How many events?: Four.
What will the events consist of?:  CrossFit programming but progressively scaled for the different age brackets.  We will hold everyone to the same standard on the different exercises, but we will change the weights as the athletes get older.  o a full depth squat is still a full depth squat.  A lockout is still a lockout.  And of course, we will allow additional scaling if needed.

This is a great opportunity to do  a great competition and  only compete against your peers.  It is going to be a lot of fun.

Register here.

FYI – half of the 180 spots have already been taken in just one day. It will sell out by the weekend most likely.

FYI – Hell Yeah!  It is soooo ON !

Let’s see, I’m not going to name any ladies as 35+ (you know who you are), but for the dudes…  Paul, Chad, Scott, Dizon, Jake, Tom, Jim, Eric, who am I forgetting?  Let’s do this.  I just signed up.

Hank, as much as I appreciate the enthusiasm and the invite, and despite all of the gray hair, I am actually only 29.  Look 35+, act 35+, lift like I’m 35+… but still under 30.

I’m signed up.  Here’s hoping it is all heavy barbell excises and muscle-ups and no running, wall balls, box jumps, double-unders, rowing, burpees, L-sits, back extensions, rope climbs or kettle bell swings.  Otherwise I should be fine.
