Introducing the 2015 Spring Food Challenge

Have you been waiting for details on the Spring Food Challenge?

The wait is over. The challenge begins in 12 short days.

Sign up HERE.

The 2015 Spring Food Challenge consists of two main components – Zone and Intermittent Fasting (IF).

The first component is Zone. You will weigh and measure your food to dial in your macronutrient intake, balance your hormonal responses to food, and become a SuperHero. Haven’t tried Zoning before? Be sure to ask a coach about her experience on the Zone in the next few days and hear firsthand what’s in store!

The second component, IF, will help you to reign in the span of time that you eat throughout the day. The challenge will include a very light dose of IF, nothing more than you probably already do once or twice a week without thinking about it.

The challenge will include 1-on-1 coaching, support materials, food logging, and guidance throughout.

    1. Not at this time. If you want to do the challenge but can’t make a Chalk Talk you’ll need to ask a coach for details and decide if it’s something you’d like to do. There will be a thorough athlete packet of materials that will explain the challenge, rules, Zone, and IF.

  1. Not sure if my browser is being wonky, but neither of the “Sign up HERE” links go to the right spot for me. They both shoot me to the Contracts section of the Roots Gear menu with the only options being for variations of the Teens program. Maybe you’re trying to tell me something about my level of maturity?
I am so committed to this food challenge that I figured it out myself (under that same Roots Gear menu went to Services->Focused Food Challenge), but maybe there’s a better permalink that you can get out of MindBody?

Hi Dave. Thanks for the heads up and sorry for the inconvenience. The links in the post have been updated.

  2. The dates on MB are wrong. It says it starts April 30th, when I think you mean March 30th. (Though I wouldn’t complain about a 3-day food challenge – ha!)
I’m really interested in learning about IF, since I tend to do that now. It would be great to do it in a structured environment.
I’m going to combo this with the April Oly Club to really see if I can’t hone in on my nutrition while pushing my body to new limits.

Jamie and I have the same issue with spring break. We are signed for the challenge up but can’t attend either talk due to spring break.

    1. No problem Megan. You’ll just need to read through the athlete packet of materials that will explain the challenge, rules, Zone, and IF. Then, your assigned coach can chat with you in person, or over email, and answer any questions you have.

  4. Laura Lepler Munro

will there be an alternative way to get your intake numbers? i’ll be out of town the 27th through the 30th.
