Four Roots members are headed to the Team Quarterfinal this weekend after a stellar performance in the Open. Done virtually this year, Jessica Snapp, Megan Wei, Cary Hair, and Connor McDonald will compete in several events starting this Thursday, April 22, through Monday, April 26. We will post the times they will be competing on social media and SugarWOD, so feel free to come to the gym to support them!

Name: Megan Wei
Where are you from? I’m originally from New Jersey, but most recently moved to Boulder from Portland, OR.
When did you start CrossFit? 2012
Have you ever competed in a CrossFit team event before? I had the opportunity to compete on a team at California Regionals in 2016, and also at Wodapalooza in 2016. Since then, I’ve done a few local team competitions.
What are your goals for this weekend? Have fun and crush the workouts! 

Name: Jessica Borth (Snapp) I answer to all of it.
Where are you from? I’m from Boulder (5th generation).
When did you start CrossFit? I started CF in 2019.
Have you ever competed in a CrossFit team event before? I’ve never competed.
What are your goals for this weekend? To keep up with the big boyzzz and laugh along the way.

Name: Cary Hair
Where are you from? Born in California > Raised in Indiana > Spent the past decade in Santa Cruz, CA > Boulder 2008
Have you ever competed in a CrossFit team event before? Quite a few, but never with this team.
What are your goals for this weekend? Have fun, enjoy the 70-degree weather, and get to know some folks a
little better through shared suffering.

Where are you from? THE Beaumont, Texas
When did you start CrossFit? 2014
Have you ever competed in a CrossFit team event before? Yes. Sanctionals (WZA) 2020 being the most recent.
What are your goals for this weekend? In no specific order:
– Exercise with my friends.
– Capture some of Cary’s mustache growing capabilities via osmosis.
– Not get no-repped by Jenni.
– Ensure all of my teammates remember The Alamo.
