Paleo 2.0 Potluck
Are you a Paleo cooking rockstar? Or are rotisserie chickens becoming your best food option? Come to the Paleo 2.0 Potluck to taste what athletes are filling their bellies with.
What: Paleo 2.0 Potluck
When: Friday, May 14th from 5-7pm at Roots
How: Please bring a Paleo dish to share, BYOPA (bring your own Paleo alcohol)
Why: Because we want to expand your Paleo food awareness and success!
A few reactions after looking through the food logs:
First, NICE WORK! Overall everyone did a great job with the first week of Paleo. A few of you had some serious challenges but stayed the course.
Second, fruit for snacks. MANY people relied heavily on fruit (apples, bananas, oranges) for snacks. Try to incorporate vegetables into your snacking options. It’s easy to throw extra vegetables into a stir fry and pack them for the next day’s snack.
Third, planning ahead. Many of you commented on the preparation that eating this way requires. Yes and no. A good rule of thumb, always cook more than what you think you’ll need. A few quick and easy solutions for preparation. If you make Paleo muffins, make 2 batches and freeze one. The next time you’re behind on breakfast options you can take out the container for the week. Boil a dozen hardboiled eggs for quick egg options out the door in the morning.
Fourth, did you post your “Read this First” on your fridge? A few people have sent me some very cool examples of their Read this First paper including an awesome collage. If you haven’t already, get it on your fridge.
Are Kids welcome at the Paleo Potluck?
Yes, kids are welcome as long as their parents are participating in the Paleo 2.0 challenge:)
