Check out the CrossFit Verve website for details on workout 11.5 this Saturday.  Verve would like all participating athletes to be there by 9:00am to reserve a heat.  Please post to the Roots comment board if you plan to go.


Five rounds for max reps of:
Body weight bench press
Pull-ups (deadhang)

Record reps for both exercises in all rounds.

Jamie’s Race Report from the Fruita 25 Miler

Jamie’s second race of the season was this past weekend.  Check out his report below.  Way to go!

Ran the Fruita 25 mile race on Saturday. My fifth time. Ran 4:22, which was a PR by 12 minutes. Bettered last year by 25 minutes. Finished 29th out of 160 or so. Best part was just how strong I was over the last five miles. Could really feel those squats paying off over the last climb. That is a hard run, but stunning place to be.

And after just a few Endurance workouts, I could really feel those pay off as well.

Not really sore at all, I can feel a little fatigue in my legs.

    Nice work Jamie!

    I’m definitely going down to Verve this weekend. I’ll be a little behind everyone as I’m teaching the first two classes at Roots but I’ll be there shortly after 10. Excited!

    Great job Jamie. I have wanted to do that race for a while. It looks awesome. Are you going to do the Imogene Pass run this year? I plan to and I think a few other Roots folks are as well.

    I’m going to Verve on Saturday. I can take 3 people in my car. Let me know if you want a ride and we can make further arrangements.

    I’m going to Denver tonight now, so I won’t be able to take anybody down from Boulder tomorrow. I could take people back though if you get a ride there.
