Five rounds, each for time, of:
135 pound Power clean, 5 reps
135 pound Front squat, 10 reps
135 pound Jerk, 5 reps
20 Pull-ups Rest 90 seconds

The second cycle of 5/3/1 kicks off this Tuesday.  We have (spots) available for this class.  If you would like to participate in the next 5-week cycle, please post to comments to reserve your space.  First come, first serve.

What is 5/3/1?
5/3/1 is a linear strength program developed by John Wendler.

Why should I do it?
There are many benefits of this program.  First, if you want to get stronger, this is your program.  Second, it takes the guess work out of a solid strength program.  3 sets of 5 today, 8 sets of 2 tomorrow?  No second guessing your program.  Fill in the sheet and go to work and get results.  End of story.  Lastly, if you are uncomfortable with the lifts, this is a great way to gain exposure and practice with these lifts in an environment that works through a variety of efforts.

Great!  Visit here to read a general overview of the program. Our program is very similar to what is laid out the article although we do operate on a 2 days per week schedule.

This class requires a committed attendance for the 5 weeks on both Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm.  
The structure of this program requires you to be present for the two classes every week over the five weeks.  Missing one class is fine.  Being able to attend Tuesdays only is not.

Who can take this class?
This class is included in an unlimited membership.

    I would like to sign up for the 5/3/1 program, but I will have to miss one session on 5/17 because I’ll be in Philly.
