Olympic weightlifting is one of the original sports of the Olympic Games. The sport tests a lifter’s explosive strength in two movements: the snatch and the clean & jerk. Watch this video for a great visual example of the clean & jerk.

Please remember to cancel yourselves out of classes you are no longer able to attend. Yesterday we had a full class scheduled in MBO at 5. Someone called to ask if they could still come – I said no because the class was full; however, then two people did not show up. Don’t be that guy/girl!
Reserving your spaces for the week in advance is fine, but please be courteous and cancel yourself out of it as soon as you know you are not able to make it. If you are not by a computer, call us.
