Yesterday we announced a week of personal account from the coaches titled Why I’m Doing the Open.  Next up, Lucie! Why I’m Doing the Open: Lucie. Because… why not? I am fairly confident it won’t kill me, which means it can only make me stronger. I know the mind chatter sometimes wins in daily WODs but it stands no chance in the Open.  The chaotic mix of cheering and excitement carries athletes through all rough patches and wins even the hardest mind battles.  But most importantly, the Open at Roots means good times with people I love. I usually workout at the 5 pm WOD (4 pm on Fridays), but sometimes to Oly on Mondays and have started to attend the Thursday gymnastics workout, CrossFitting since January 2010. 2.
