One of the coolest parts about Roots is how things come together – connections, partnerships, jobs, people, you name it. That’s why we’re pumped to host a happy hour and social with the folks at Kettle and Spoke on Thursday, September 26th from 5-7pm. Eric and I met the guys at Kettle and Spoke while getting our bike tuned up next door at Front Range Cargo Bikes. We got to talking about all the Roots members who ride their bikes to the shop. And so the idea was born – people, happy hour, bikes…and art, can’t forget the art. Our good friends at Boulder Creative Collective are located just on the other side of Kettle and Spoke. Throughout the event, Boulder Creative Collective will have its doors open for a preview of its upcoming exhibition the officially opens on Saturday, September 28th. So hop on your bike and ride down...

As many of you know, our beloved Ali Vermeil has decided to move on from her position at Roots to pursue a career in the tech space. After taking the month of September to travel and play, Ali will attend a 7-month coding program in Denver and hopes to land a job back in the Boulder area next spring. While you won’t see Ali in a coaching capacity, you will still see her at the shop, taking class. She’ll aim to work out as much as she can with school and hopefully more when her program is complete. A few members have organized a farewell get together for Ali at 5 pm (until whenever) on Wednesday, August 21st at the Rayback Collective. All are welcome to attend and we hope you can join the festivities!
