It’s 7:45 AM on a beautiful sunny day in Boulder, Colorado. You sat down to a fantastic breakfast of quality protein and fat but now it’s 8:00AM and you should have been out the door 10 minutes ago. There’s no time to pack a lunch and the task of finding lunch on the run that fits the bill is, well, daunting.
Fear not! Paleo Kits to the rescue. Paleo kits are pre-packed meals of free range beef jerky, dried strawberries and cranberries, and nuts including pecans, macademia nuts, and almonds. We think the coolest thing about Paleo Kits is that the beef jerky isn’t sugar cured as is most every other brand out there.
What’s the cost on these babies? The kits range from $4.00-$6.00 each depending on the size. As an example, a $4.00 Paleo Kit is equivalent to a 3 Zone block meal.
Expensive you say? Oh please. Let’s compare the costs of a salad on the Pearl Street Mall, a grab and go lunch from Whole Foods, and a Paleo Kit. All meals bought for a Paleo/Zone female eating a 3 block lunch with 2 x fat.
1. Pearl Street Mall salad: $7.95
2. Grab and go lunch from Whole Foods: $6.02
(1 avocado, 1 peach, 1/2 cup bluberries, 3 ounces meat from the salad bar)
3. 3 Zone block Paleo Kit: $4.00 (DING DING DING, WINNER!)
Not only are you making an economically informed decision when selecting a Paleo Kit over other “fast food” options, you are eating high quality ingredients, making a conscious decision to eat well even when on the run, and you’re supporting the youth athletes at Steve’s Club in Camden, NJ. Take the time to click through and read about Steve’s Club.
A big order of Paleo Kits is on the way. If you’d like to try one out, talk to Nicole or Eric about buying a couple. If you fall in love with them, you can buy them from us in bigger quantities and live in Paleo Kit bliss.
