Summer Class Schedule!

We had an INCREDIBLE response rate to the Summer Class Schedule Survey.  Thank you to all the Roots members who took the time to give us your feedback.

Because of your feedback, we think the class schedule is going to be killer!  The new schedule starts Monday, May 12th.  The new Kids time slot does not start until June 2nd.

We heard:
1. You want another 5pm class WOD option on Mondays
2. You wanted a 6am class option
3. You really, really wanted us to go back to an 11:30/12:30 schedule midday
4. You wanted a 5pm class WOD option on Fridays
5. You wanted a 7, 8, 9AM class schedule but NOT a 4:30/5:30/6:30PM class schedule
6. You wanted more Open Shop time slots



Check out the Class Schedule code below:
WOD – The group class workout of the day (WOD).  This class does the workout posted on the blog each night at 8pm.
1.0 – A CrossFit class that moves at a slightly slower pace and focuses on the 9 foundational movements.
OLY – Olympic Weightlifting for CrossFit.  Want a faster Grace time?  Or to be able to rep out 55 pound snatches.   This is the class to develop these skills.
STRENGTH – A class that focuses on the powerlifting movements of CrossFit
MOB – A half hour class two times per week that focuses on mobility, rejuvenation, recovery, and identifying areas you can work to improve performance.
ERG – Row, row, row you erg…you get the point.  This class is done entirely on the erg.
POW – A class born out of the CrossFit Football tenants of shorter, heavier, and more explosive movements.


In the schedule above, you’ll also see the closed programs listed.  Closed program classes include CrossFit Endurance (CFE-Run and CFE-WOD), Women’s Only (WMNS), Olympic Weightlifting Club (O-Club), Kids (KIDS), and Teens (TEENS).  These programs require a membership outside of the regular group class and specialty class set-up.

    wait a sec…no power hour on Fridays at 5 anymore? It’s such a great way to start the weekend!

    1. Hey Maggie, power hour is now on Fridays at 12:30pm with Ryan. We had an overwhelming number of requests for a 5pm WOD. And, Power Hour had always been with Ryan until we changed the schedule so the class is back with him at lunch!

        Ah, thanks Nicole! I guess I’ll just be taking a long lunch on Friday’s now! 🙂 Walker has been really rocking the programming for Power Hour at 5pm lately even though there is no metal anymore…thanks to both Walker and Ryan for kicking our asses during this class!

    Yes, there is still Open Shop during the week. I apologize I left it off this schedule.
    Currently it is:
    Tuesdays – 1:30-4:00pm
    Fridays – 7:00am-11:30am, 1:30-3:30pm
    Sundays – 10:30am-12:30pm
    And we will be adding another Open Shop time slot during the week within the month.
