I have been horribly overweight for over a decade , and for over a decade I have struggled to both lose the excess weight and not regain it. Frustratingly, gaining weight has always been easier than losing weight. In fact, the weight gain was insidious, creeping up on me even when I thought I was doing everything right (i.e. following the diet guidelines that have been giving to us for the last fifty years or so).
