Did you know your CrossFit Roots membership includes access to Specialty classes? It does! In addition to the CrossFit W.O.D. (workout of the day), we offer Engine, Strongman, and Olympic Weightlifting, Strength, and more. Anyone with a club membership can reserve a spot in these classes. Never been to a specialty class? Here’s what you can expect: Strongman – This class is 60-minutes and focused on moving odd objects. Think sandbag carries, yoke carries, sled drags, sled pushes, etc. Olympic Weightlifting – This class is 60-minutes and focused on the clean & jerk and the snatch. It’s not always about maxing out, it’s about technique and form to help you learn the positions and build strength when these lifts show up in the workout of the day. Back for its TWELFTH year! The Concept2 Holiday Row challenge is to row your choice of 100,000 or 200,000 meters between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  CrossFit Roots is proud to offer a designated and coached program to help you hit the mark! The organized and coached program at Roots is led by none other than our very own Lauren Rubini. Space is limited so sign-up by Wednesday, November 26th in Zen Planner under the Purchase tab in your profile! THE 4-WEEK PROGRAM This program consists of 4 coached workouts with additional programmed workouts for you to complete on your own. Athletes can utilize Open Shop hours and Engine – Rowing on Wednesday nights to get in additional time on the rower. Join us on Veterans Day (Friday, November 11) in group classes as we honor Chad’s life, support a dear friend, and bring awareness to suicide prevention. The Workout Chad Wearing a 45# rucksack, 1,000 step-ups to a 20″ box. Group Classes on November 11th We will do this workout in all group classes on Friday 11/11. As always, we will offer scaling options. We understand that some people may be limited by an hour however we will not stop you from finishing. The CrossFit Roots Teen Scholarship Program officially launched in December 2020, and it is off to a great start! The program exists to provide at-risk and underserved youth access to CrossFit Roots’ Teens after-school program, a program for the student looking to improve their sports performance or create a positive relationship with health and fitness.
